Private Marks is a platform that tracks private company metrics and valuations. We collect and organize data about private companies, including their funding rounds, valuations, financial metrics, and more, to provide insights into the private market.
We strive to provide the most accurate data possible by sourcing information from reputable sources and verifying it when possible. However, private company data is inherently limited in availability and transparency. Each valuation and metric includes a certainty rating (1-5) to indicate our confidence in the data, as well as source information when available. A certainty rating of 5 indicates high confidence with the information generally provided by company announcements or regulatory filings.
We update our database as new information becomes available. For major companies, this may be as frequent as weekly or monthly. For smaller or less frequently covered companies, updates may be less frequent. The date of each valuation and metric is clearly displayed.
Yes! We welcome user contributions. On any company page, you can submit new valuations or metrics using the submission forms. All submissions are reviewed by our team before being published to ensure quality and accuracy.
We track a wide range of metrics including revenue, ARR (Annual Recurring Revenue), revenue growth, ARR growth, EBITDA, adjusted EBITDA, operating profit, profit, net income, cash flow, operating cash flow, free cash flow, employee count, cash balance, customer count, and user count. Not all metrics are available for all companies.
The "F" badge indicates that the metric is a forecast or projection, not a historical or current figure. These are typically future estimates provided by analysts, the company itself, or other sources.
We track several types of valuations:\n\n- Share price: The price per share of the company\n- Pre-money: The company's valuation before receiving new funding\n- Post-money: The company's valuation after receiving new funding\n- Enterprise value: The total value of the company including debt\n- Unclear equity value: When the exact type of valuation is not specified in the source
When a valuation is provided as a share price, we calculate the equity value by multiplying the share price by the most recent share count available in our database. These calculations are estimates and are marked with an asterisk (*) on the company page.
Yes, you can request a company to be added by contacting us at info@privatemarks.com. Please provide as much information as possible about the company, including any publicly available valuation or metric data.
Yes, Private Marks is currently free to use. We may introduce premium features in the future, but our core data will remain accessible to all users.
